Feast-or-famine isn't a sales problem

You're selling to the wrong buyer. I reposition creative firms and market them to the right clients—so new work arrives before you go looking for it.

The right clients don't know you exist.

Your work comes from people who already know you. Past clients, referrals, whoever thought of your name this month. That pool is small and random. Some months someone in it needs you. Some months nobody does.

That's the famine.

And more leads won't fix it, because more leads means more of the same people, buying the thing you already sell.

The reason they're the same people is what you're pointed at. Your portfolio proves you can make things. It says nothing about whether you can think and lead. So the capacity buyer finds you, and the one you want never hears about you.

The gap costs more than it used to. At three people, a slow month meant a slow month. At twenty, it's €60,000 out the door either way.

And the work that fills November has to start in May.

People who make things get called last.

After someone else has decided what the job is, what it's worth, and who's on the list. People who help decide get called first, before any of that exists. That's the whole difference. Work that arrives because someone needs a pair of hands is luck, and luck is uneven. Work that arrives because someone was already thinking of you is not.

MY MISSION

Get you in front of the right clients

Too many bloody good creative firms live project to project. Yes, even the big ones. The work is excellent. What's missing is anything that brings the next one in while they're busy with this one.

WHAT I BELIEVE

Systemise how people find you. Never systemise how you treat them.

Your relationships are the business. Automating those is how firms end up sounding like everyone else. But being found — that can and should run without you.

The problem isn't you.

Long sales cycles — 9-12 mo for $100k-$1m Projects
Hidden buyers — Hard to reach directly
Cold outreach barely works — Less than 2% reply rate
You miss the moment — Client engage with your work but the signals are
Markets move — Must create awareness in new sectors while staying top-of-mind with core clients

Creative firms rarely lose because the work isn't good enough. It usually is.

They lose because of who they're selling to, and when.Your portfolio proves you can make things. It says nothing about whether you can think and lead.So clients hire you to make things. And the people who make things get called last, after someone else has decided what the job is and what it's worth. The people who help decide get called first. Work that comes when someone happens to need a pair of hands is luck, and luck is uneven. Work that comes because someone was already thinking of you is not.
I'm Marko. I lived the dream twice. Travelled the world as a freelancer before Facebook was a thinkg, then co-built a studio to thirty-five people and seven figures. I exited, had clients waiting for me to start again, and said no. Twelve years and three hundred firms later, I know I made the right choice.

What I do

Built and refined over twelve years, my advisory runs on four touchpoints. Each engagement grows one of the four taouchpoints, and moves you closer to the budgets you need to create your best work.
touchpoint One →

Position

What you're known for, and why they'd pick you without comparing.
touchpoint TWO →

Market

The right buyers get to know you, months before there's a brief.
touchpoint THREE →

Sell

Something that keeps selling while you're busy working.
touchpoint FOUR

Lead

The last conversation of one job becomes the first of the next.
No need to scale your team to reach the budgets your best work deserves. You need to be positioned as the guide they're looking for.

STUCK WITH LOW-BUDGET CLIENTS?

OR DO IT YOURSELF

The advisory is one-to-one. If you are under 10k/month consider doing the work in a room with other experienced peers. That's the Creative Boutique Accelerator. Twelve weeks, €250 a week, starting October 13.

What people say

Not everyone is ready to grow

A considerable percentage of the calls I take end with me saying your timing's wrong, or that what you need isn't what I sell. That's a useful outcome too. Thirty minutes, and you'll know.
