Long story short, I teamed up with Héctor Ayuso and Manuel Fernández to build something disruptive: PARADISO. And, last Wednesday, in a room of 80 renowned artists and close friends at Automattic in NYC, we didn’t just launch another retreat or cookie-cuter festival.
No—we launched a movement. We’re done with creating for the algorithm, tired of optimizing for likes and clicks. PARADISO is about reclaiming what it means to truly create. What it means to be an artist.
I used to think control was everything. Plan every step, and you’ll get better results. Especially in business, right? Wrong. The best, most meaningful moments happen when you let go. When you stop hustling and systemizing and trust the process to take you somewhere unexpected. When you trust yourself. When you’re authentic, is when the magic happens.
Creativity can’t thrive in neat boxes. It doesn’t flourish when we work for algorithms or optimise our business for systems. We didn’t become creators to tweak for the next client or post.
So, what if we broke the rules, once again? Created something raw? What would happen then?
Most of us are stuck in the algorithm cycle—trained to maximize, optimize, and squeeze every last drop. But creativity isn’t about playing it safe. It’s about risk. It’s about pushing yourself to the point where you might fail or feel uncomfortable. That’s where the magic happens. When you grow.
We live in a world built for clicks and trends. But real creative growth can’t exist there. When was the last time you felt truly challenged by your work? When did you create something that made you feel vulnerable?
At PARADISO, we won’t offer neat takeaways. We create a space where artists get uncomfortable, because it’s where breakthroughs happen. Not in business plans, but here, live with us, with your fellow artists. PARADISO isn’t about maximizing output—it’s about stepping away from the grind and rediscovering the joy of creating.
That’s why top creators like Joshua Davis, Jessica & Lauren Walsh, Yoshi Sodeoka, Mau Morgó, Ivan Cash and many, many more are already joining us. They’ve built legacies by breaking rules and pushing boundaries. Their presence will fuel the collaborative, disruptive energy that PARADISO is all about.
For five days, in March 2025, in Mérida, Yucatán, you’ll be surrounded by artists and creators ready to challenge themselves, push boundaries, and embrace discomfort. Growth doesn’t happen in your comfort zone. The magic happens on the edge.
If you’re done with playing it safe and squeezing the familiar, join us at PARADISO. Let’s get uncomfortable and create something real again.
If your gut says you need to be part of this, let us know.
